Members are expected to exercise common courtesy to members of the shell. Civility is something that must also be shown to non-members during events or any other time you have our pearl equipped on your character.
That said, we're not your parents. We like to have fun here and some members often engage in racist, sexist, and prejudicial slurs that are meant solely for comedy (or so I believe…) Please don't take every conversation to heart since most of the time we're likely just goofing off to pass the time.
######Regarding Events:######
Members should state whether they will be attending an event via the "Schedule" section. There are three options: Attending, Maybe, Declined. This section assists greatly in assigning jobs and beginning an event promptly. If a member is found skipping an event (e.g., partying during event times, camping an NM, doing an Assault, etc.) and hasn't notified the shell by the aforementioned way they will receive their first warning out of a possible three before their pearl will be cracked. We understand other priorities may arise during a scheduled event; all we ask is that we are notified before hand that he/she will be absent and/or late.
During events, members are to listen to any designated leader and not begin arbitrary arguments. We try to be as democratic as possible in decisions pertaining to events; therefore, when a decision happens to be left to the discretion of a leader it is to be respectfully followed.
